We Need Your Help

It takes a village to care for and preserve our trail—so it can be enjoyed for generations to come. Whether you have a few hours to give or are looking for a deeper way to get involved, there’s a place for you here.

Volunteering can look like many things: time on the trail, sharing your skills, supporting behind the scenes, or helping us grow. Every contribution matters.

Volunteer Opportunities

Ranger Program

The ranger program offers a flexible way to stay active on the trail while helping others. Volunteers patrol at a pace and schedule that works for them. Orientation and first-aid training are required—and provided—so you’ll feel confident and prepared.

Maintenance

Our maintenance team keeps the trail safe, accessible, and beautiful. This role is ideal for those who enjoy hands-on work and being outdoors. It does require a higher level of commitment, including the ability to drive and operate power equipment, and occasional lifting. Training is provided—and yes, there’s plenty of camaraderie (and sometimes homemade cookies).

Events

Looking for something more occasional? Events are a great fit for individuals, families, or groups who want to help on a short-term basis. From clean-ups to community days, we’ll reach out with opportunities you can sign up for as your schedule allows.

Programs

Programs include activities like youth hikes, bike excursions, and other community experiences. These opportunities are often ongoing and may include training. Commitment can vary widely—from a few hours to multi-day involvement—depending on the program.

Administrative

Prefer to help behind the scenes? Administrative volunteers support essential work like data entry, organizing digital files, communications, and more. This is one of our most flexible options and can often be done on your own schedule.

Manager/Coordinator Roles

For those interested in taking on a leadership or project-based role, we offer opportunities to help guide and grow key initiatives. These roles vary depending on current needs and may include:

  • Special projects
  • Sponsor liaison
  • Fundraising
  • Website maintenance
  • Grant writing/administration
  • Activities planning

Don’t See Your Fit? Let’s Create One.

We’re always open to new ideas. If you have a skill, passion, or idea that could benefit the trail, we’d love to hear from you. Some of our most impactful contributions started with a simple conversation.

Choose what fits your time and interests—we’ll help you get started.
