The Nickel Plate Trail is a non-profit 501c3 organization. Our funding is through grants and private donations by people like you. Please give what you can. All cash donations are tax deductible and will help ensure the trail continues to serve our communities for many generations to come.
We use Zeffy to process donations online. Zeffy is a secure fundraising platform specifically for non-profits that does not charge us fees for its use. All of your donations made through Zeffy go directly to us. In the donation process, you may choose to give a “tip” to Zeffy, but it is completely optional and does not affect the amount of your donation to the Nickel Plate Trail.

Consider a Memorial Donation
A memorial donation is a meaningful way to honor someone you love while supporting a cause that enriches our community. Many families request donations to the Nickel Plate Trail in lieu of flowers, or in addition to flowers, as a lasting tribute to their loved one.
The Nickel Plate Trail has two endowment funds through the Northern Indiana Community Foundation (NICF) — one for Miami County and one honoring Christi Grossnickle, whose fund benefits the trail through Fulton County. Endowment funds provide long-term, sustainable support for the trail for generations to come.
