Panhandle Pathway Holds Luncheon
A lunch meeting was held Tuesday, September 25, 2018 with Indiana Governor Holcomb and several trail leaders from around the state. The purpose of this meeting was to provide a vigorous discussion concerning trail priorities and goals.
The new Next level Connections program includes an important component for the aggressive development of non-motorized recreational trails. An important part of this is the linking of the present trails already on the ground.
This effort will utilize $90 million to help improve Hoosiers’ quality of life by expanding the current network of Indiana trails. Mike Kuepper was present and represented the Nickel Plate Trail in Fulton, Miami and Howard Counties. John Bawcum from the Panhandle Pathway in Pulaski and Cass County also attended. Work is expected to begin early next year on this major undertaking.
